A bibliography is a list of reference materials (eg books, websites, television programs and newspaper or magazine articles) used when researching or writing a report, essay or assignment.

There are books in the library that explain the requirements of writing a bibliography according to the Harvard system.
Another way of writing a bibliography is to go to the site listed below, click on the type of resource you have used, fill in the information required and the citation is produced for you. All you need to do now is the copy and paste the citation into your bibliography.
The site comes from Ultimo TAFE College Library and is an excellent way to learn how to create bibliographies for many types of resources used in assignments and assessment tasks. It also gives a concise summary about what a bibliography is and its' purpose. The bibliographies created using this site are in the Harvard format which is the preferred style at our school.
